The Brutes of Planet Moiromma
Introduction: –I’m going to tell you how it all started; it was not as simple as I said, in my final narration (at the end of this story, which was first told to me, then the second version, “The story”), if you have a little more time, otherwise you can read the conclusion. I don’t expect you to believe it all, it’s one of those things you have to witness to fully believe and understand, I’m a little skeptical myself. So keep that in mind, and just read a good story, from a friend of Tangor and Siren, named Rognat, who told it to me, over a cup of coffee, one afternoon, while visiting the British Museum, London, a few years ago, he had heard that I was in town, studying the giants and cultures of Malta, some cultures dating back to 5000 BC. But I believed in the story (he’s an old friend): as I was saying, I believed in the story, even with its arctic atmosphere, and the imaginary void associated with it; and this breed called Moirommalit’s, which I had heard about before from him (but not this story of course) and so I’m going to share it with you. In fact I will quote it to you, since I have a photographic memory. And keep in mind that the conclusion was told to me first, and by making more time for Mr. Rognat, and coffee to boot, I got the longer version, and added them together here . DLS
“The bullies leave, or fight, or they are killed, that’s how it is on the planet Moiromma, a planet outside the Earth’s solar system, with an arctic-like climate. They have about six weeks a year, from spring and been combined. Its population, as last I heard, was between 20,000 and 30,000, on this moon-sized terrestrial planet. Perhaps 15,000 of those inhabitants lived around the cliff and cave, where the dugout was, the mud arena, in the absence of a name of the city, we can simply call it Brutes City, this is where several powerful warriors of the planet went to challenge each other for Moiromma’s grand prize, kingship, given to the mightiest warrior on the planet.
“Let me give you a little background, before continuing: the old king is dead, he was 899 years old. Moiromma lived between 500 and 900 years; compared to the inhabitants of the earth before their great flood. Whereupon, a A contest is held Finding a new king is a process of weeding out the weak.
“The Brutes, as they’re called, have no qualms about this power contest, it’s part of their nature, and they take it more as a sport than anything else. It’s worth mentioning, the Moirommalit have 100 lives , upon death they reappear, regenerated to the same self they were before death, usually ending up on another planet, and most often in surrounding solar systems (how this is done is a mystery to me, call it magic chromosomes, or whatever it is).
“Thus, Brutes came from all over the planet to test their mighty fighting skills in the arena, for the crown. all attached, all seven, legs attached and torso joined to the back of these creatures. These giant worms, as they are called on the planet; they are an ugly-looking beast of prey, have fins, but no legs, and a smooth belly, and large tusks, and a bit of a serpents head.
“And then the contest started, all the creatures with the Brutes on their backs were in the mud arena, only one man would come out of that arena that day, so the rules were set eons ago, if not a Brute, then the last living animal would be released and brought back to the Cold Lands, equal to the arctic region of Earth.
“Said one of the spectators standing behind a stranger looking into the pit, ‘Kahg won’t win double!’ And then both the spectator and the stranger saw Kahg, a massive, muscular beast, pull his stone knife out of his belt. of rope tied around its abdomen, now on the monster’s back, it dug deep into its flesh, its neck, like a vulture nibbling at a dying carcass with its stone knife, its deadly reaper: wider and wider, more deep and wider, deeper and wider, he went until the beast was swimming in the mud trying to throw the prey from his back, and the blood, tissue and bone were all uncovered, leaning on the side of his body. Kahg on his back, and now Kahg started to open his skull, trying to slowly dig a crevice to his brain, and when he did, the beast fell flat on his stomach, the tusks deep in the mud.
“The spectators watched in horror and joy, it was a bloody sight. Kahg then cut the ropes, freeing his frame and limbs, and stood victorious by the beast.”
((I suppose an earthling would have been stunned and hurt to kill the beast this way, but on Moiromma it is ceremonial and a day welcomed by all).
Kahg & Yob
“After Kahg’s victory, the Brutes were defeated one after another, until there was only Kahg and an old man, named Yob. Perhaps wishing their death would come sooner, of prolonged agony Kahg and Yob both had what I would call equally powerful muscles, yet Kahg was younger, and therefore his reflexes more alert, while Yob, being much older, was more skilled in fights to the death, and of course had never lost one.
“Said the voice behind the stranger, the viewer again, ‘I think the two are going to kill each other?’ He was excited, alone, and wanted to share this moment of delight with someone else, I guess.
” Said the stranger [annoyed]’Yes, yes…’ and he mumbled something, and leaned over the pit to observe the finality of the conflict.
“It looked like Kahg, fought defensively, and Yob offensively, and the stranger understood that. So, thinking to himself: a moment ago, a millisecond after an offensive push from the fighters, or call it a forward reaction, that the offensive fighter has an opening, call it a snap, but that’s how battles are won.
“Quicker than the eye could see, Yob left his fighting stance and pushed his body forward, and launched a wound into his opponent’s neck, thus, Kahg had the moment, that opening whose stranger was talking, and he was about to take advantage of it, and if he had, he could have grabbed him by the shoulder, thrown him to the ground, as he intended to do, and broke his neck with his heel on the way down, but here’s what happened: Kahg was in motion, his hand ready to push the already bent Yob (leaning from his push into Kahg’s neck with his knife), when the viewer shouted, ‘Kill him now, now, now, now…!!’ straight into the stranger’s back ear. It was like such a bellowing, and constant, that Kahg went for it, and by that time Yob had fallen and rolled several feet away from Kahg, he was now safe.
“The stranger looked behind him, said, ‘You’ve ruined the battle,’ and as the man was about to answer, there was a hesitation in his voice, a millisecond (he was thinking) and the stranger took advantage of that moment , grabbed his loose hand, and jumped into the mud arena, pulling him behind. As fast as he could, both surprised in the arena – Kahg and Yob, the stranger tore a seven-foot tusk from one of the neighboring beasts, but a few feet from the three Moirommalit, and with a single blow, and perhaps three seconds, he tore the bellies of the fighters and the spectator alike.” Rognat
[Conclusion]: It was a crazy and fierce time on Moiromma, as it is today (women, children, men, everyone and everything was of the same composition). So long ago, I dare not say when, lest you call it a fraud.
A deep, thunderous laugh came from above the arena, where the spectators were looking into the fight pit (several feet below them, a large mud hole, a circle where the beast and the Brutes fought until ‘to the last man) here the Brutes lay naked tied to wild beasts, the reptilian-walruses of about 2000 pounds, with tusks many feet stretched outward; the rugged humor above continued unabated, as onlookers watched into the pit, for the contest of who would be the king of Moiromma.
On Moiromma they were all fighters – the women were tigresses and the men mere beasts. There were very few children, but they looked like saber-toothed lions.
Tangor had a superior physique, a sharper mind and a more developed brain for combat: so when he jumped into the arena, he did not even feel sweat, his muscles tensed slightly, his fast and powerful blows made the final fight. two contestants left in the arena, whose bodies were now shaking on the floor, for his last moment of life; they were both ruthless savages, who fought for the throne of Moiromma, but Tangor was quicker and surprised them both (but of course he didn’t want to be king; that was just, his nature had taken over him; he was not Moiromma stock, and of course looked different, but a few of Moiromma’s elite knew him, through Siren).
It was a world without rules (butcher as you can, if you can, was the unspoken philosophy of this planet in Earth’s neighboring solar system): as might have happened that day in the battle that had occurred.
The locals fought with teeth, knives, fists, fangs, claws, whatever was available – and so, when Tangor leaped into the arena, ripped off a dead reptilian beast tusk and gutted both Kahg and Yob, the two remaining. contenders for the throne, five dead and seven dead beasts now in the arena, it was a surprise yes, but not a primary surprise, besides it was not against any rule, and to a large extent it produced even more entertainment for the spectators.
